Making clients lives easier – electronic signatures now available at IPM
You may recall late last year that we announced that that we have agreed a deal with DocuSign to accommodate electronic signatures on IPM’s paperwork.
We are pleased to announce that the necessary amendments to our back offices and processes have now been made and many of our forms are now available to be completed electronically.
If you have a client that needs to complete an IPM form, and you wish to take advantage of the new electronic signature facility, please contact us:
- By phone on 01438 747 151
- By email
Let us know which form(s) you require, and which client this is in relation to, and we will then arrange for the necessary forms to be issued by email.
We’ll send these to the adviser in the first instance (where appropriate), then onto your client for them to complete and return to IPM. A copy of the completed form will be available for your records.
All IPM forms completed by electronic signature will satisfy our requirements. There will be no need to provide an original, wet signature on a paper form.
Of course, should advisers or clients still prefer to use hard copies of our paperwork then this is available in the usual way either by contacting our office or from the downloads page of our website.
2 times we will still need a “wet” signature
At this stage we are still unable to accept new SIPP applications with an electronic signature, nor any requests to make benefit or drawdown payments using our benefit payment request form.
The additional anti-money laundering requirements for these two processes still require further testing, however we hope to have these in place soon.
This is an exciting step for IPM as it is something that both clients and adviser have requested increasingly over the last couple of years.
We hope this will be a welcome enhancement to the services offered by IPM and we welcome any feedback you may have as to how this process is working.
